Merchandising Assistant role could be the perfect opportunity for you.
About The Role
In this fast paced role, you’ll review stock and sales to ensure that stock is directed to the right ship, in the right volumes, at the right time, to optimise profitability. Working closely with our Merchandising and Buying teams, you’ll help manage the distribution of stock within the business, being responsible for allocating and managing ship’s stocks levels to achieve sales targets. You’ll analyse large amounts of data and make recommendations for replenishment to maximise sales potential.
Based in
Avonmouth (Bristol) on a
hybrid working basis - 3 days per week – plus occasional ship visits as required.
Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)
What You Will Be Doing
- Compile stock and sales reports ensuring data accuracy.
- Reviewing sales forecasts and projected orders to ensure stock levels maintained on all ranges.
- Liaise closely with the Area Managers, Ships and the Buying team to discuss stock issues and communicate/recommend necessary actions.
- Organise and monitor offloads/transfers of stock in the most cost-effective way for the business.
- Raise Purchase Orders in line with company requirements.
- Act as the key point of contact for vendors to ensure all goods arrive on time.
About You
- Retail knowledge and experience is advantageous, as is a basic knowledge of supply chain management.
- Able to work on your own initiative and work exceptionally well in a team.
- Analytical and numerical skills; previous experience of using Excel would be desirable.
- Keen attention to detail, able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Good communication & presenting skills.
- Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK.
