Lambeth Music Service: Music Tutor (Brass Specialism)
Salary: £34.84 p/h & £42.50 p/h
Contract: Part Time (7 hours p/w)
Lambeth Music Service provides children with skills that will give them the knowledge and access to as broad a musical future as possible.
This role is part-time with the following timeslots:
Mondays: 1.45pm-2.45pm
Tuesdays: 1.30pm–3.30pm
Thursdays: 9.45am–11.50am & 1.30pm-3.30pm
We are looking for a music tutor to lead and support the delivery of whole-class ensemble tuition, as well as deliver small group or individual lessons. These are school-based lessons for primary school classes mostly from year 3 to year 6, although there will be potential for some work in other year groups and our after-school provision. This role will have an emphasis on brass tuition as well as our whole-class ‘MXPlay’ ensemble, which involves voice, recorder, djembe and glockenspiel lessons for students beginning their musical journey.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Ability to inspire and engage children and young people of all musical abilities and backgrounds
- Experience of whole class ensemble tuition to younger students.
- High professional standards and a commitment to delivering to the Music Service’s expectations
