We have an exciting opportunity to join the Pilgrims Europe Product & Innovation Team with a vacancy we now have for an
“NPD Finance Manager” that will sit within the NPD Governance & Systems Team.
Reporting into the Head of NPD Governance & working alongside the NPD Projects & P74 Systems Manager this is a unique and exciting role that will offer the opportunity to help shape and drive our roadmap for delivering alignment, consistency & one way of working for the P&I team as well as the wider business. Whilst this role sits within the governance team, the role will be required to interact with the wider P&I team as well as multiple stakeholders outside of the P&I function on a daily basis, therefore giving an opportunity for growth & breadth within role.
Key Areas Of Responsibility Include (but Not Limited To)
- Support the overall budget setting, tracking and overall financial control for the P&I function
- Ownership of multiple data sources to facilitate the monthly reporting for the functional KPI reporting metrics & financial performance - feeding into 1 monthly dashboard for Exec reporting
- Ownership of a monthly P&I update pack on key financial headlines and profitability for the team
- Support best practices and consistency of the product costing process through P74 across central functions and sites. Drive alignment to the S&G process to ensure there is visibility & transparency of key commercial info for all projects from concept to launch
- Working closely with central procurement, support on leading out cost out initiatives across group, reporting on projects & savings.
- Support proactive management of SKU & recipe rationalisation, helping to identify and track CI & cost saving initiatives.
- Support the Head of NPD G&S with regards budget responsibility for systems relating across the product & innovation function.
- Support the Head of NPD G&S on the tracking and reporting of R&D tax credit claims, working closely with Finance and site teams to maximise saving opportunity.
- Provide support in the assessment and valuation of new business opportunities for the P&I Team
- Provide support for the P&I Senior Leadership Team for any CAPEX proposals for approval
- Provide site & group finance teams with support for product cost information from P74 where required
This role could be suitable for someone with a finance background & therefore familiar with monthly reporting & KPI management that also has an interest and a degree of knowledge for the development process & what is involved through each of the stages from concept through to launch.
