About The Role
The Government & Health Industries Operational Restructuring (G&HI OR) team sits within the Deals line of Service; we are the UK market leader in respect of the work we do across the public sector. This role is specifically for applicants interested in health based projects within the G&HI OR practice.
Skills
We are looking for highly motivated people to join our team. Our work blends hands-on situational and stakeholder management skills, with functional expertise as well as industry expertise, and covers:
- strategic business planning,
- rapid cost reduction planning and implementation, including procurement and workforce optimisation,
- programme management office (PMO) establishment and management, and
- adaptive change management.

What Your Days Will Look Like
You would work with high profile health sector clients in a fast paced and highly rewarding environment.
Your role will involve analysis and report writing, presentations to senior client staff, and working with client staff in hands-on roles to develop and deliver financial improvement projects. This may involve working operationally and in clinical environments in order to identify savings and implement cost controls.
You will work on a range of assignments including;
- establishing PMOs and supporting operations,
- developing, planning and supporting the delivery of operational improvement projects,
- developing and implementing cost control programmes,
- assessing and testing of financial positions and forecasts, and
- strategic planning with business case and scenario testing.
This Role Is For You If You Have
- Strong analytical skills (financial and non-financial), including use of Microsoft Excel. Experience of NHS-specific information analytics is highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent verbal and written English and report writing skills including use of Microsoft Powerpoint
- Strong commercial awareness and a willingness to participate in marketing and business development
- Previous experience of leading teams and delivering projects through to completio
- A commitment to continued personal development
- Previous experience in, or exposure to, complex stakeholder environments
A formal financial qualification is highly desirable but not essential (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA or international equivalent)
