What you’ll be doing

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating all 1st line risk work across Originations, Collections, Operations, IT and Customer Support. This includes collation, analysis and reporting of QA, Tier 1 & 2 Risks with associated metrics and support to track and close all internal and external audit points. You will produce weekly and monthly reports that track the wider 1st line risk environme

nt.This role will be London based with hybrid working options available.


Key Responsibilities & Objectives

  • Collate and analyse data regarding the current operational control environment
  • Ensure adequate evidence of the good working of the control environment
  • Work in partnership with the business to identify and address areas for improvement in this space
  • Work with the business to ensure robust risk assessments for new projects and initiatives
  • Co-ordinate production of all internal and external reports including for the ERMC and ARPCo
  • Be a strong and proactive partner to the 2nd and 3rd line control functions


What you will need

  • Proven experience within a 1st Line of Defence or 2nd Line of Defence function within a Financial Services firm or as a Business Analyst within a Financial Services firm
  • A strong understanding of Risk Management, Controls and Governance – whilst focused primarily on Operational Risks across the business the role holder will also be exposed to the other five risk pillars: Strategic, Customer, Credit, Compliance and Information Security
  • Proven analytical abilities are essential with process mapping experience desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Tools, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint
  • An appreciation of the relevant legislation and regulation that determines how the 118 118 Money business should operate, conduct itself and treat its customers
  • Proven ability to work with and appropriately challenge stakeholders of all grades – both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to convey complex messages in an easy to understand manner
  • Should be proactive, able to work on your own initiative, juggle competing demands whilst effectively managing your own workload
