Aim & purpose of the role:
To provide support and assistance to the Senior Operations Manager & Head of Operations in preparation for forthcoming projects and tasks
To work alongside established members of the Operations Team, acquiring key skills to assist with cross-training and sustaining BAU throughout periods requiring cover
Key accountabilities/responsibilities
- Understanding of general settlement tasks, including EUI (Crest) settlement, processing of Residual settlements, unit trust processing and daily reconciliation of transactions, monitoring of open positions
- Actioning trade amendments and ensuring daily processing and dispatch of contracts/transfer forms in a timely manner. This applies to both electronic and hard copies
- Ensure all errors & warnings are resolved on a daily basis and where necessary escalated to the relevant department
- Oversight of ISA/JISA administration including subscriptions, APS, deceased and closures
- Assisting with Unit Trust administration, including set up and class conversions
- Dematerialisation of stock into nominee depots
- Dividend Processing
- Administrative handling and uploading corporate events onto AWOL (WCG internal system)
- Handling and electing Proxy Votes
- Attendance of Project meetings when required
- Collaboratively writing procedures for new and existing tasks, documenting and creating manuals/flowcharts

Education/Experience
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience working within a financial institution, preferably in Investment/Wealth Management/Operations
- Understanding of the current Regulatory environment
- Excellent knowledge of Outlook, Excel, Word and Google Sheets/Docs
- Prior experience using the Nexus system is preferable
- Knowledge of how various departments form the structure of Operations
