What will this role achieve?


pladis​ ​was​ ​established​ ​in​ ​June​ ​2016​ ​and​ ​brings​ ​together​ ​the​ ​much​ ​loved, ​global brands​ ​of​ ​Godiva, ​McVitie’s, ​Ulker, ​and​ ​DeMet’s​ ​under​ ​one​ ​pladis​ ​umbrella, ​to form​ ​a​ ​global​ ​giant​ ​in​ ​biscuits, ​chocolate, ​and​ ​confectionary.

le will be based at our manufacturing site in Wigston to provide compliance data on packaging against authorised and documented methods, reporting to the Site SQSE (Safety, Quality, Security & Environment) Manager.

y member of the factory Quality and Compliance team, the Packaging Technologist will support the effective day-to-day management of packaging used on site; providing compliance data on packaging against authorised and documented methods and providing support for the improvement and maintenance of packaging quality standards.

ll be your key deliverables?

pon an agreed packaging surveillance sampling schedule:Carry o

  • ut compliance checks on printed packaging against specification, with a focus on print Brand Master spectral targets, based upon an agreed surveillance sampling scheduleCapture
  • and store trend data of spectral colour assessment in QA repository. Discuss and share trends with Senior Artwork Technical ManagerSample
  • and visually assess printed packaging against target Epson proofs for visual differences and print defects. Sample
  • and assess packaging against specified specification parameters in accordance with the sampling standards and retailer requirements.

  • s the site with coding /calendar maintenance and data updates. (eg MID)Authori
  • ty to hold and release non-compliant defective packaging material for use in production.Reviews
  • , makes recommendation and supports implementation of appropriate changes and preventative measures.Support
  • s continuous improvement through identification of areas for improvement, involvement in projects and through support in issue resolution, driving a reduction in risks and ensuring best practice.Support
