We are looking for a Paralegal who wants to develop their legal skills and experience in our growing Construction team in Manchester.

Our Team
Our Construction Team is one of the niche practices that sits within our broader Real Estate Practice Group. You will benefit from a close-knit environment with excellent exposure to work. You will be working with them and the wider Real Estate team to provide the best possible service to our clients.
As you would expect from a firm of our profile and size, the members of our global Construction & Engineering Industry Group are leaders in our field, operating across a range of jurisdictions. From a UK perspective, we advise our clients on all aspects of their construction projects, including project inception and procurement. The team advises on all standard forms of UK contracts including NEC4, JCT as well as international FIDIC and EPC contracts.
Our Opportunity
You will provide high quality support to our clients and internally, with an emphasis on supporting our Construction & Engineering team working on a variety of non-contentious matters; mostly within the context of UK property development, acting for developers and traders. The role includes assisting in the drafting and negotiation of building and engineering contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and all ancillary documents, some work will also involves advising on international projects. In addition to providing real estate development and finance support work, we review and report on construction documents as part of larger transactions.
You will gain valuable first-hand experience across a broad spectrum of work including strategic projects. It's fair to say that you can expect a varied workload.
You
We are looking for someone with a strong academic background in law, and prior experience as a Paralegal who wants to develop their career in construction law. Prior experience working in the area of non-contentious construction law would be highly beneficial. You will be driven, able to work collaboratively within a team but also independently, and you will demonstrate a real passion for law coupled with a commercial mind-set and a solutions- and service-driven approach.
You will be expected to work in a busy commercial environment, have the ability to organise, communicate effectively and work on your own initiative, whilst knowing when to seek guidance. You will need to be confident and have great interpersonal skills, which will allow you to work well within this team.
