THE OPPORTUNITY
At Leonardo, we have a fantastic new opportunity for a People Change Agent to join our multi-disciplined team. You will be driving the implementation of Change Management projects and activities that aim to maximise employee adoption and usage of people involved aspects of transformation.
You will be applying, as appropriate, structured Change Management methodologies, processes and tools to deliver Change Projects that focuses on employee response / resistance to the adoption of change.
In this role, you will be a change specialist working with a diverse team, united by a common project purpose.
With a coaching /servant leader style, you will be driving activity at multiple levels of the organisation, including senior leaders, as you guide them through their roles in the change.
You will demonstrate the requirement to apply a structured approach whilst retaining a growth mindset – agile in response to inevitable failures and unforeseen challenges.
You will report to the Head of Transformation, within the Future Combat Air Line of Business.
This role can be done through a hybrid of home and site working and we are open to flexible ways of working. The role can be based at any of our UK Electronics Division sites.

What You'll Do As a People Change Agent
Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you will
- Drive the implementation of people involved Change Management projects, including changes to business process, systems & technology, job roles and organisation structures.
- Drive, with a coaching style, those responsible for application (Change Champions) of the Change Management Strategies.
- Working with the People, ensure the Change Management Strategies include the requirement for an inclusive culture with a growth mindset, in order for the Change Management implementation to succeed.
- Work with a diverse range of individuals / key stakeholders across the project (diverse in all aspects functional organisations; partner companies working towards the same common project purpose; specialist consultancies; hierarchical levels; cognitive diversity; and more).
- Deliver actionable outcomes against the 5 change management levers communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.
- Measure and report via impact analyses, assess change readiness; responding to risks and outcomes of those assessments as necessary.
- Identify, mitigate and manage anticipated resistance and manage unanticipated resistance as it arises.
- Work with external bodies to ensure Leonardo is up to date in the latest Change Management thinking, not limited to the Defence Industry.
What We Need From You
You really must have
- A sound understanding of how people experience change and the change process.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- The ability to build professional relationships into an influential network.
- Ability to adopt different leadership styles in response to varying situations & environments, and strengths & cognitive diversity of individuals, during prolonged periods of cultural and systematic transition.
- An understanding of the importance of Psychological Safety in leading an organisation through a period of significant change.
- Being a strong communicator, leader and having interpersonal skills
- Engagement and listening skills, being open to hearing different points of view.
- Ability to support the implementation of a strategy that has sufficient agility in scope to withstand / adapt to tactical challenges.
- A curious, problem solving approach to practical, cultural and people involved challenges.
It would be nice if you had
- Change management certification or designation
- Experience working as part of an agile team
- A good understanding of Engineering Functions, Projects, Processes and Procedures
- University degree or equivalent experience
