INTRODUCTION
Lewisham Council is looking for an experienced technical project manager with the knowledge, experience and skills to manage the expiry of our Housing PFI contract. This post reports to the PFI Expiry Programme Manager and is responsible for the management of the technical and commercial aspects of the expiry of our Housing PFI contract. This is the first PFI contract to expire at Lewisham Council so this is a new post and a new process. The PFI has 1,829 properties under management and there is a complex commercial environment to be navigated in ensuring that the risks of the expiry process are managed.
What’s the role ?
The Housing Directorate is procuring a handback survey currently and having the appropriate technical resources to manage this through to completion is crucial to success. This post would manage the contract for the survey, liaise with the PFI over access and interrogate what comes out of the survey and ensure that the correct works are programmed in. The outcome of the survey needs to become a programme of rectification works which will need to be managed and monitored in order to mitigate the risk of assets coming back to the Council requiring works that should have been delivered under the PFI contract.
What’s in it for you ?
Excellent training and development opportunities, plus a range of benefits including:
- Generous holiday allowance
- Local Government Pension scheme
- Flexible working and family friendly policies
- Season ticket and bicycle loans
- A range of staff discounts including local subsidised gym memberships
- Supportive staff networks
