Location: C D E Group Ltd, H1, Kilcronagh Business Park

Job Purpose

Ensure projects are planned and executed following planning best practices and CDE processes, to meet customer requirements in line with business capacities, whilst managing and maintaining schedule adherence throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring effective planning controls to enable plan mitigations which are actioned asap to mitigate customer impact and delays.

  • Has experience and knowledge of planning methodology in line with planning best practice and governance frameworks, to effectively manage and govern project delivery across all functions for CDE customer-facing projects within own portfolio.
  • Supports the project management office function by creating and managing project plans throughout the entire project lifecycle using the ERP system, ensuring customer expectations are aligned with internal plans, with project teams aware of time commitments and stakeholders updated on milestones and deliverables.
  • Highlight any risks to project schedules as early as identified and implement mitigation plans if necessary.
  • Initiative to spot and problem solve, with the confidence to challenge for resolutions to resolve promptly.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision, manage own project portfolio with pro-active plan control via regular plan reviews, track schedule adherence, and act on project slippages to mitigate any impact or penalties.
  • Participate in and chair regular project/team meetings.
  • Confidently and effectively provides communication with clarity of any actions required by internal departments to ensure plans are maintained with live data in the ERP system as one source of truth, with all functions working to the latest information in line with business capacities.
  • Applies critical thinking to decision making, ensuring a holistic approach to plan changes, considering any potential impact up and downstream and to the customer.
  • Ability to use Advanced Excel reporting to analyse data and information relative to own project portfolio, to action and/or provide solutions or escalation.
  • Works to deliver and achieve operational team targets with a direct impact on departmental results and team objectives.
  • Shares and drives continuous improvement and innovation ideas which may help to improve current planning processes and procedures by regularly reviewing processes to ensure efficiency, highlighting/implementing change where necessary.
  • Ability to use time management tools to maintain upkeep of daily/weekly/monthly lobby actions, tasks, reports and KPIs.

Desired Criteria

  • ERP system experience
  • Project Management principles and methodology experience
  • IBP / S&OP knowledge

Required Criteria

  • 3rd level qualification or extensive other desirable criteria
  • Minimum of 2 years’ planning experience in similar role ideally within Project Planning / Manufacturing / Engineering / Construction Planning
  • Experience of planning best practice and planning methodology
  • Advanced Excel reporting experience
