Location: Suffolk - Leiston, site based.
Employment type: Permanent full-time.
Employment basis: The role is expected to be a full- time position however we are open to discussing a more flexible or part- time approach where possible.
Salary: £30,000 - £38, 000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

The Opportunity
Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.
When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We’re looking for a Planning Coordinator to join us. You’ll play a vital role in supporting the Planning Team, ensuring legal and regulatory requirements are met, and contributing to the success of a nationally significant project.

The Role
As a Planning Coordinator you’ll provide essential administrative support to a team driving one of the UK’s most exciting infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities will include organising and supporting meetings with key stakeholders, preparing and submitting documentation in line with project requirements, and ensuring compliance with governance processes such as the Development Consent Order (DCO).
In this role, you’ll ensure the smooth operation of the planning process by managing critical schedules, tracking budgets, and maintaining accurate records. Maintaining strong working relationships with Local Authorities, arranging site visits, and assisting in the preparation of reports and updates.
By keeping all planning work on track, you’ll help ensure the project remains aligned with deadlines and budgets while meeting all necessary standards and commitments.

The Skills
You’ll have a qualification in a relevant discipline (such as Environmental Studies, etc).
Recent experience working in a major infrastructure project roles.
You will demonstrate strong organisational skills.
You’ll understand the need for quality and how quality is assured and controlled.
Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills.
Your excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders will be key to your success in this planning and admin-focused role.
Desirable
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements throughout the planning process.

- Sizewell C Limited will be moving offices from 90 Whitfield Street to 25 Copthall Avenue.
25 Copthall Avenue is a modern building just a short walk from Moorgate and Liverpool Street stations. Sizewell C will occupy the whole of the 4th floor. We are targeting a move in February 2025.
This role will be contractually based at 25 Copthall Avenue. However, depending on the date of the move there may be a period that you will be required to work temporarily from our existing office at 90 Whitfield Street.
