Healthcare Assistant – Pre-Assessment | Spire Cardiff | Private Hospital | Full Time, 37.5 hrs pw | Permanent
Spire Cardiff Hospital are looking for a experienced Healthcare Assistant to join the team within our Pre-Operative Assessment Unit. .
The Hospital covers a wide variety of surgical procedures, you will support in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload, assisting in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs. You will actively promote best practice and contribute towards quality improvements, collect collate and organise data.
Duties And Responsibilities
- To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of a patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment.
- Contributing to the support and monitoring of patients
- Identifying and reporting any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being to the appropriate person
- Assisting with the movement of patients in line with clinic policies
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience of working in Pre-Assessment as an HCA in a hospital environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- Basic numeracy & literacy
- Demonstrate a patient focused approach
- Must have experience in ECGs, phlebotomy, cannulation, and patient observations
- Good team work ethic
- Enthusiastic and energetic professional
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Must be UK based and have experience of working in UK
Working Hours: Full Time, 37.5hrs per week, Monday – Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
Contract Type: Permanent
