As the Principal Cloud Platform Engineer, you will form part of the Cloud management team and be responsible for coaching and mentoring team members and evangelising strong engineering practises.

With a deep knowledge of AWS and how Cloud Infrastructure should be architected to provide maximum business value, you will support the development of the road-map and support the delivery of engineering excellence.

This role will give you the exciting opportunity to evangelise Cloud Native approaches across different teams within the Post Office to accelerate the adoption of AWS applications.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will be a Senior Technologist with experience of working within a forward-thinking technology function with the ability to converse effectively with technical and non-technical audiences. In addition, you will demonstrate a significant track record across the following Tech Stack:

• CI/CD-GitHub, Spinnaker, Jenkins, Argo Workflow, Argo CD
• IaC Tooling- Terraform, Cloud Formation and Ansible
• Observability- Prometheus, Grafana and ELK
• Containerisation EKS, Harbour and ECR
• Experience of presenting and articulating technical ideas to a non-technical audience.
