Responsibilities
Purpose of the Role:
This role is primarily focused on the successful delivery of critical Professional Services projects covering our range of enterprise products. You will be liaising and managing with external clients, working closely with internal stakeholders and responsible for the scoping and solutioning of the project development delivery team.
As part of iPipeline’s growth and strategy this role is required to work with our UK professional Services Director to redefine and overhaul our delivery approach and practices to achieve our growth, scalability and performance targets and meet internal and external client delivery aspirations.
Responsibilities:
- Assume Project Management responsibilities on complex multi-year projects, influencing and communicating client activity
- Work with cross-functional colleagues to share best practices for problem resolution to ensure project needs are met – outcome, time, quality, commercials
- Prepare reports and materials; create and deliver presentations to all levels of colleagues, peer groups, and clients in ways that support problem solving and planning.
- Advocate on behalf of clients to senior management, identifying approaches that meet clients’ needs as well as those of the organization
- Adopt a collaborative approach to solution design and project delivery.
- Lead IPL engagements from commercial, contractual perspective, managing scope, deliverables, dependencies and schedule to ensure that the right outcomes are achieved for IPL and our clients alike. Budget Management? Monitor and manage program budgets, ensuring that expenses are kept within bill rates and margins. Create and manage billing activities. Participate in Program Planning discussions with client to forecast future revenue. Monitor and report on bill rate and expected profit margins within a program.
- Resource Management? Allocate resources across projects within the program to ensure optimal use of skills and capabilities. Liaise with department peers to support customer impacting initiatives (e.g. R&D, Product, Net Ops, Support).
Qualifications
- Substantial experience working in a similar capacity/role
- Demonstrable experience interfacing with external clients in a project management role (IT/Software)
- A professional qualification as a Project Manager (Prince2 Foundation or Practitioner, APM PMQ)
- Relevant Project Management experience (software delivery) ideally within Financial Services
- Demonstrate strong ability to run and manage project Profit and Loss projections (P+L’s)
- Demonstrable experience of having run and being accountable for delivery of multi-million and multi-year projects.
- Experience participating on Internal and Client-facing steering committees, dealing with senior stakeholders, communicating in clear, concise and efficient way.
- Ideally some experience in Agile at Scale (eg SAFe Agile Framework)
- Expert understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to self-manage time and prioritise workload
- Life insurance experience/knowledge preferable
