About The Role
- Advise and support clients on tax planning strategies to include asset holding structures, personal taxation, shareholder issues, succession and estate planning, buy/sell side advisory and family offices.
- Assist the senior management group in preparing detailed technical tax advice in relation to various tax issues, including detailed research of tax legislation and case law.
- Responsibility for an income tax compliance portfolio - consulting and liaising with clients on matters of compliance and reviewing tax returns prepared by team members.
- Assist clients with responses to HMRC enquiries.
- Interact with other Deloitte offices around the world as part of globally coordinated client programs.
- Assist in the management of billings and fee collection for allocated clients.
- Delegate to, manage and review team member’s work on allocated clients.
- Present in-house tax training courses and assist with client presentations as required.
About You
- Ideally a CTA and/or STEP qualified tax professional (or equivalent) with minimum 4 years PQE
- Strong tax technical knowledge – previous experience of advising clients of asset holding structures, personal taxation, shareholder issues, succession and estate planning would be an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills
- Experience of working as part of a private clients team would be an advantage
- An ability to explain technical concepts in a simple and comprehensive way to those in the business without a tax technical background
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multi-functional team
- A flexible, energetic and pro-active personality with the ability to multi-task
- Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
