Procurement at TalkTalk is changing. We have a vision of procurement as a function that delivers TalkTalk's business strategy through its suppliers. We're looking for people who share our vision, have the ingenuity, energy, and hunger to drive the change we need, and that won't take no for an answer.
Delivering that vision will initially require someone to run procurement processes such as supplier onboarding, be responsible for procurement systems such as our contract database, and liaise with our central data team to get the procurement team the data & insights they need to deliver for the business. Over time this person is expected to make our processes more efficient, automated, and user-friendly and so this role will evolve from being process focused to data & output focused, ideal for someone who is near the start of their career and keen to challenge themselves.
If the successful applicant is interested in developing their experience in procurement then there can also be scope in the role to support or lead on procurement activity (e.g. buying).

- Knows how to document processes, and design new processes
- Ability to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement in processes, how we use systems, and in how procurement is done at TalkTalk
- Has demonstrated the ability to change a business process and understand the impact of that change
- Has very good attention to detail
- Highly data literate with good working knowledge of Excel and the ability to derive actionable insights from complex and incomplete data sets
- Has the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at a working level, and use a network of relationships to influence and solve problems
Your Responsibilities
- Run supplier onboarding, procurement requisition, and contracting processes
- Administer the procurement sourcing and contract management system
- Maintain procurement impact reporting and work with the procurement team to ensure accuracy
- Responsible for identifying new ways of running processes that deliver the same outcomes and protections for TalkTalk while being quicker, easier, and less resource intensive to run
- Using a data-driven approach to quantify opportunities for improvement
- Liaise with the data & insights team to get the data and reports the wider procurement team need
- Maintain, update, and improve procurement policy and guidance for the wider business
- Support the business with all queries relating to the procurement processes & policies
- Monitor company compliance with procurement policies and processes
