Product Controller - Contract - Alternative Asset Management

Miryco Consultants is looking for a Product Controller to join a leading Alternative Asset Manager on a contract basis.

If you are an immediately available product controller, this is the perfect opportunity to gain experience in the alternative assets space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily P&L reporting.
• Implement and conduct Independent Price Verification (IPV) on a monthly basis across diverse asset classes, including spots, options, futures, forwards, and loans.
• Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to inform valuation decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
• Assess portfolio risk regularly and collaborate with traders to allocate suitable liquidity and valuation reserves.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, and other stakeholders to provide timely and accurate valuations and support investment decision-making processes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarising valuation results, methodologies, and key findings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance valuation models, processes, and controls to maintain best practices and improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, etc.) with at least two years' post qualified experience.
• At least three years experience working in product control
• Proven experience with fixed income products preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
