Job title: Programme Manager

Location: Barrow in Furness- Onsite, We do offer a range flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: From £70,856+ dependant of skills and experience with car allowance

What You’ll Be Doing

  • You’ll be responsible for leading the Security Enhancements Programme, a critical infrastructure programme at BAE Systems Submarines
  • Co-ordinate multiple Infrastructure projects and management of delivery schedules to meet programme/business demand
  • Manage Stakeholders, including liaison with Customer and Senior Leadership team
  • Apply Life Cycle Management across programme
  • Management of Project Requirements
  • Support bid & permissioning activities, including providing support to preparation of Business Cases and Bid material
  • Resource Management across programme

Essential

Your skills and experiences:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience within a multi-functional team
  • Proven Infrastructure Delivery and Capital Infrastructure experience
  • Project Management experience demonstrable through complex projects
  • Recognised PM qualification and familiarity of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts

Desirable

  • Experience within the Defence or Nuclear site industry

The Capability Capacity And Resilience Team

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Capability Capacity and Resiliance (BCCR) team, dedicated to driving increased production output and advancing the SSNA Programme. In this role, you’ll lead a team of seven accomplished Project Managers, collaborating closely with the Site and Facilities Function to enhance the security infrastructure at our Barrow In Furness site.

You’ll have the chance to work alongside Functional Heads across the programme, the BCCR leadership team, the Submarine Delivery Agency, construction partners, the Ministry of Defence, and other security agencies, contributing to critical national projects.
