Our Project Logistics team based in Altens, Aberdeenshire have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and people focused Operations Manager where you will drive and direct the Oil & Gas operation in the UK and Ireland.
This crucial role will see you acting as a central point for both internal and external customers where you will collaborate with global and regional leadership teams to provide a “best in class” solution while delivering outstanding operational excellence for our customers.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Global Head of Energy Solutions, you will lead a diverse team of experienced multi-modal specialist that focus on executing consistent operational solutions for our customers. You will ensure performance is measured and objectives are achieved meeting specific key performance indictors (KPIs) and provide training and development opportunities to achieve continuous improvement, high performance, and colleague engagement.
You will maintain close working relationships with carriers and suppliers ensuring services and prices reflect market conditions and develop Oil & Gas client portfolios working collaboratively with in country and global business development and commercial management teams, where you will maximise opportunities to discuss industry changes and cement future volumes and profitability. You will also conduct thorough analysis of processes and procedures with a focus on operational KPI’s, service delivery, customer satisfaction, operational improvements, and efficiency.
In addition, you will also represent the UK and Ireland operations for all internal Oil & Gas group meetings to drive global improvements, share solutions and build partnerships.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application, you must have experience of operating in freight forwarding operations with an extensive operational background in the Oil & Gas industry, familiar with industry customer markets and requirements. You will have substantial leadership skills experienced in managing freight forwarding teams with a focus on engagement, performance, and people development.
You will be a natural communicator, practiced in problem solving, negotiation and influencing and the ability to analyse, interpret and present operational data to internal and external stakeholder groups demonstrating clear and concise information through the use of MS Office packages.
