The Role – What will I be doing?
As part of the operations team, you will be managing delivery responsibility for major project builds, keeping regular contact with the customers to ensure they are satisfied with SMD. You will hold overall accountability for all aspects of project delivery.
You will be planning the project and associated activities to a high degree including:
You will present the project status to the senior management team monthly, including a full financial review. Oversee the collation of documentation packages and you will be responsible for the co-ordination of, and delivery of comprehensive spares packages.
Visting client operations outside the UK, globally for Project meetings, ongoing support and overseeing major equipment deliveries.
Assisting in the sales in tender submissions and also on internal/external audits
What skills and qualifications do I need?
You will need to have an Engineering Degree or equivalent with previous experience in project management. Customer focus attitude with excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
High level of IT skills including MS Project is essential. A continuous improvement background would be desirable.
Self-motivated with confidence in difficult situations with a willingness to learn and improve.
