Job Description

We are looking for Project Managers with experience in delivering complex projects to join our Defence sector, which includes a contract at a facility near Reading.

The roles require Security Clearance at SC level with some to DV level, therefore the ability to obtain clearance is essential.

This is an on-site permanent role based in the Reading area provides the opportunity to work across a variety of projects within the Defence sector.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading the operational management and delivery of projects
• Building relationships with key stakeholders (Client, Contractors, Construction Manager functions) and maintaining regular communication
• Leading key packages of site works
• Relevant experience in Mechanical and Electrical, preferably in a highly regulated environment
• Ensuring nuclear safety and quality requirements are to the highest standard
• Closing out and handing over completed work packages to commissioning
• Performing against a tight schedule and budget through effective management of deliverables, quality requirements, risk and opportunity management
• Creating an inclusive environment, leading and motivating others to achieve and deliver successful project outcomes
• Managing and supporting others in implementation and application of project controls and commercial management (NEC3 & 4)
• Ensure that key deliverables within each stage of the project are being achieved, to the highest standard on a consistent basis, safely and with due regard to nuclear safety requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• SC or DV Clearance is preferred but not necessary
• Experience in delivering complex mechanical and electrical projects nearing completion desirable
• Experience in delivering large scale projects
• Preferably 5yrs experience of working in a highly regulated environment
• Experience in leading multi contractor and multi-disciplined teams to deliver a common goal is desirable
• Demonstrable stakeholder management skills
• The ability to thrive in pressure situations is essential
