Role description:
Responsibility to manage key elements of a pursuit to ensure the pursuit process is followed and to ensure that high quality pursuits are produced on time and within budget, you will work closely with
- Strategic Opportunities and Pursuit Management team – to support in the production of winning pursuit submissions and client presentations
- External suppliers – to liaise with existing suppliers to ensure all output collateral is delivered on time
- Senior Pursuit Managers / Pursuit Directors – working directly with Pursuit Mangers, Pursuit Directors and technical specialists in the creation of winning pursuits
- Graphic Design Team – working closely on pursuits to ensure a high quality of output is consistently achieved
- GEC – working with existing GEC resources to ensure on time and quality production of agreed deliverable
Role accountabilities:
- Allocate project tasks to project team members and monitor performance, to ensure delivery of key pursuit components on time and at the required quality
- Ensure that the stakeholder management and communication plan is implemented so all relevant information and feedback is taken into consideration in the pursuit process
- Monitor costs and resource utilisation, escalating any issues for resolution
- Coordinate the production of regular pursuit project reports, identifying emerging risks and issues and proposing remedial action where needed
- Contribute to the handover of successful pursuits to the Project Manager, ensuring provision of all relevant information
- Contribute to post-pursuit reviews and ensure lessons learned are documented, to support the management of future pursuits
- Identify and propose improvements to the pursuit process that reduce risk and/or cost and/or enhance quality
- Input to a range of business systems (e.g. Sales Cloud; SharePoint; and project accounting system) in line with defined procedures to ensure that they are accurate and up to date
- Project manage individual jobs from inception to completion
- Communicating closely with a wide range of colleagues to ensure quality input to the pursuit is achieved within the pursuit timescales
- Demonstrate excellent prioritising and organisational skills in order to manage own workload, ensuring projects are to set timescales and budgets
Qualifications & Experience:
- Ability and experience of managing pursuits
- Previous work experience in a relevant industry
- Previous project management experience, including experience in supporting complex, multi-disciplinary projects
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Proficiency in using relevant software and systems
