Quality Assurance (QA) Manager - Bristol

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our operational team in Bristol. The position will be a full-time, permanent contract and based on site, and across various sites as required, providing design support to project teams principally on cladding remediation and industrial new-build and refurbishment projects.

Duties include

• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites, materials, and workmanship to identify and address any quality issues or deviations from project plans.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to establish and maintain quality objectives and performance metrics.
• Provide guidance and training to construction teams on quality control best practices, standards, and procedures.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions, as necessary.
• Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.
• Monitor and track quality performance metrics, analyse data trends, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to construction quality assurance.
  
  

Requirements And Skills

• UK Driving licence (essential)
• Knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and the requirements of producing the Golden Thread of information (essential)
• Ability to configure this to suit BBP's company and project requirements, to record high quality QA information, and to instruct others in its correct use. Procore training will be provided.
• Experience in construction quality assurance or related field
• Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven leadership abilities and experience managing quality assurance programmes.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
