About the Company - Boccard are looking for an experienced QC Specialist to work at our fully digital manufacturing plant in Broughton.
About the Role - The QC Specialist is responsible for carrying out analysis on production data, using root cause analysis and fault finding techniques to help continuous improvement of Boccard’s processes.
Responsibilities
- Feed data gathered during audits, manufacturing output, NCR’s and quality observations into weekly and monthly quality meetings.
- Final review of all fabrication and assembly documentation before submission to the client.
- Issue of any Quality documents required by client to Document Control for approval/review.
- Collate and keep up to date SQEP Files for HPSL Personnel – issue to client if required by contract/client.
- Ensure that the Project Quality Plan / Inspection Test Plan is written in-line with the project requirements and is being effectively implemented and shared with relevant managers.
- Review of quality documentation, LTRs & final certification packages are in accordance with contract requirements.
- Review calibration and test equipment are in full compliance with company & contract requirements.
- Maintain the approved suppliers listing and requesting any documentation that may have expired.
- Review and recording of all Quality questionnaires and supporting documents for additional suppliers and subcontractors wishing to be added to the HPSL ‘Approved Supplier Listing’.
- Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, clients etc and attend meetings where appropriate.
- Liaise with sub-contractor and ensure all documentation runs concurrently with the project requirements.
- Review fabrication data to analyse data to target improvement areas.
- Analyse non-conformance reports to establish if corrective actions have been successful.
- Carry out inhouse audits on proven mature procedures and processes.
- Conduct audits of the works and Projects Quality System, including sub-contractors and supplier systems where appropriate. Issuing NCRs where applicable and ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Ideally degree qualified in an Engineering subject.
- Significant and Demonstrable experience of working in a highly regulated industry, (Aerospace, Rail or Nuclear).
- Lead Auditors qualification e.g. CQI and IRCA certified qualifications to ISO 9001:2015, Lean Six Sigma qualification would be beneficial.
- CSWIP 3.1 minimum or PCN L2 welding inspection would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing, Fluent in English language.
- Analytical mindset with a good eye for detail.
- Must be a collaborative team player.
Pay range and compensation package - salary dependent on knowledge, skills and experience circa £55-65k. benefits include pension, EAP and early finish Fridays!
