About The Role

The Role

You will be central to the successful implementation and certification of Gateley to the ISO 9001 and 27001 accreditations. Working initially with our external consultants and our Quality Officer, you will help to establish the management systems for both and work with stakeholders within our internal teams to prepare for stage 1 and 2 external certification audits.

Thereafter the role will evolve into ensuring on going management and co-ordination activities are completed, primarily for ISO 27001 with support for ISO 9001, and the required reactive and proactive improvements are made to successfully retain both certifications.

The responsibility for risk management and compliance in our business is shared by everyone, but we don’t expect our people to manage this alone. We have a dedicated risk and compliance team to support our people and provide guidance on risk and compliance related matters.

The Person

Develop an understanding of Gateley’s certifications for ISO 27001 and 9001:

  • To Manage, maintain, and monitor our ISO 27001 certification whilst providing support to the Quality Officer for ISO 9001 as required.
  • Maintain the defined ISO documentation repository by reviewing and updating ISO 27001 documentation, including procedure documents, policies and supporting records and logs.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports by internal auditors and any actions are closed out, report status of audits and actions to senior management.
  • Help raise staff awareness of the ISO Standards, including training for new starters.
  • Organise and run Management Steering Committee meetings.
  • Ensure preparation and completion of routine internal audits with business stakeholders.
  • Ensure preparation for and attend annual external ISO audits.
  • Provide guidance and support to other departments and stakeholders on ISO certification compliance matters.
  • Process and respond to supplier management activities for clients such as ISO 27001 security compliance questionnaires.


Risk Management coordination:

  • Coordinate the efficient administration of the Gateley ISO27001 Risk Management Framework and associated documents to support ongoing risk reviews and mitigation planning.
  • Engage in ISO27001 risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance and safeguard company assets.
  • Work with risk owners to update the risk registers, incident logs and associated records.
  • Provide ad hoc administration duties to support ISO certification, compliance, and risk management.


Quality Assurance:

  • Encourage and promote high standard of administration.
  • Consider and implement process improvement where possible within the scope of role.


Essential:

  • Basic understanding of ISO certifications, specifically ISO 27001.
  • An outstanding eye for detail with a drive to provide exceptional administration support.
  • Strong communication skills to ensure colleagues meet set deadlines.
  • Capability to multitask, prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Experience of planning and chairing meetings
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • High levels of professionalism.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Able to pick up new skills and knowledge quickly.
  • Competent working with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Administrative experience.


Desirable/Beneficial:

  • Educated to a Degree level or equivalent.
  • Experience of implementing and managing ISO management systems, specifically ISO 27001 and 9001.
