Quantity Surveyor – Main Contractor

• Residential New Build Projects
• Permanent: Up to £80,000 + Package
• Site Based – West London

We are currently searching for a talented Quantity Surveyor to join one of the Southeast’s busiest residential main contractors. This company boasts a very healthy pipeline of projects coming into 2025, along with 10 projects already in build stage. These projects range from £30m - £150m and are a mixture of Private Sales, Build to Rent and Purpose Build Student Accommodation.

As Quantity Surveyor you will work alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor on the commercial management of schemes, undertaking duties such as:

• Cost Planning & Budgeting: Develop initial budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial alignment throughout the project.
• Tender Management: Evaluate subcontractor tenders and assist with submitting bids to clients.
• Contract Management: Review, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure compliance.
• Financial Oversight: Track project costs, manage cash flow, and forecast financial outcomes.
• Procurement: Source materials, negotiate with suppliers, and draft subcontractor agreements.
• Change Management: Assess, document, and approve variations or changes to the scope of work.
• Risk & Reporting: Mitigate risks, provide regular cost reports, and flag potential overruns.
• Final Accounts: Settle accounts with clients and subcontractors while ensuring project profitability.

Required:

• 3+ Years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor
• Degree Qualified in a related field or come through a recognised apprenticeship scheme
• Applicants must have Right to Work in the UK and be in a commutable range of London
