We have an opportunity for a Cost Manager to join our team and be a key part in the continued growth of this service particularly in the retail and banking sector. General cost management experience and skills are required however there are opportunities to work alongside our specialist team of mechanical and electrical Cost Managers for you to develop knowledge and skills in this specialist area.
Role And Responsibilities
- Assist in the evaluation of costs and advise on alternative proposals
- Assist on contract arrangements and conditions under which building will be constructed
- Assist on implications of different construction methods, materials etc
- Provide assistance with the undertaking of pre and post contract work for both End User Clients and Contractors / Sub-Contractors
- Working on energy reduction and sustainability innovations and roll outs
Experience And Skills Required
You will have an inquisitive nature, analytical mind, and possess:
- Numerical / maths skills and excellent literacy
- Ability to use your own initiative
- Confidence and good communication skills
- Interest in using computers for design work, calculations, and testing designs
