On our Projects within the Decarbonisation Sector, we assume role of the Main Contractor , meaning we have control of all elements of the build;

• Civils,
• Construction,
• Building Fabric,
• Solar,
• M&E,etc.

Significant growth expected as the uptake and integration of decarbonisation increases in line with 2030 and 2050 carbon reduction targets. With projects averaging between £5M and £15M. On our Projects within the Data Centre Sector, we assume role of Specialist Prefab M&E Contractor , meaning we have control of all elements of our build;

• Design
• Chilled Water Distribution Systems
• LTHW Distribution Systems
• Plantrooms
• Electrical Distribution Modules
• Delivery

We are a Market leader in the design and integration of Offsite Manufactured M&E services into the Data Centre Sector throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

We are recognized as the contractor of choice , with a large portfolio of successfully delivered projects.

Experiencing significant growth in the sector as the uptake of our services are helping to significantly reduce Data Centre build times. Through close working relationships with our clients, we are continuing to secure multiple repeat orders with projects averaging between £5M and £15M. Role: Job Title | Quantity Surveyor Student Placement

Location | Banbridge or Mallusk

Start/Date | September 2025 (or sooner)

Hours | 38hrs per week; 8.00am to 5pm Mon to Thurs, 8.00am to 3pm Friday

Salary | Competitive depending on experience

Responsible to | Senior Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities

• The Placement Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for assisting in the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations and helping to compile variations and change orders.
• Manage & maintain relationships with clients, contractors, other construction professionals, suppliers, and site staff.
• Assist in compiling monthly job costing reviews and final accounts.
• Assist in the commercial activities of the business and provide support/advice in this regard to the Projects Managers, Snr QS & Snr Management Team as required.
• Assist in preparation of monthly valuations following site measurements and work-in-progress reviews.
• Follow up monthly valuations ensure payments are received on time as per the agreed contract conditions.
• Complete and submit project documentation and correspondence within agreed timeframes.
• Assist in processing monthly subcontractor payments.
• Assist with the review of Contracts ahead of signing.
• Engage Sub-contractors, assist with negotiations, prepare sub-contract documents
• Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise

• Working towards Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying
• A keen eye for detail and willing to learn.
• Ability to work alone & as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
• Full UK driving license.
  
  

Desirable Criteria:

• Training/Education Knowledge of Industry Standard Forms of Contract.
• Experience in a construction or mechanical environment (placement or degree training)
• Experience in financial planning and control of mechanical or construction projects (placement or degree training).
