The Enterprise-Wide Technology Function has an Audit Technology Team that design, build and manage the Applications and infrastructure for the Audit capabilities applications. We are looking for a candidate based in the UK that is a proven manager of teams from a managed service and can effectively communicate at all levels, translating the technical into a language that non-technical people can understand

The Role
Situated within the Audit Technology Team within KPMG’s EWT Function and is a direct report to the Audit Engineering and Support Lead.
We are seeking an experienced, skilled and proactive Release & Environment Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Release & Environment Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the end-to-end release processes of our software applications, ensuring the smooth and efficient deployment of high-quality releases. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, consistency and security of all environments across Audit Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Release Management:
- Be responsible for successful Release Management; applying the processes, systems and functions required to make new and changed services available for use.
- Work with delivery teams to ensure product releases are appropriately managed, in line with Global/UK standards.
- Manage multiple varied internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth collaboration throughout the release cycle.
- Coordinate with wide range of stakeholders to define the release scope, objectives, and success criteria for each release.
- Manage, mitigate, and resolve risks and issues that could impact release plans.
- Ensure any Change freeze windows are understood and planned for.
- Communicate release plans and progress/status updates to stakeholders.
- Prepare and present release reports, including metrics, Key Performance Indicators and lessons learned to support continuous improvements.
Environment Management:
- Manage usage of all non-production environments (Pre-Prod, UAT, DEV, etc), ensuring environments are consistent and fit for purpose.
- Create and maintain environment roadmaps based on multiple functional requirements, alongside defining environment guidelines for consistency.

Essential
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Release & Environment Manager in a large-scale IT environment.
- Demonstrable experience/understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and release management best practices.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Proven abilities in planning, executing, and monitoring the Project schedule for successful delivery of value in line with project scope.
Desirable
- Experience in working in a either a cloud environment or risk and control / assurance environment preferred
- Certifications in ITIL, PRINCE, DevOps or related fields are advantageous
