Description
The Resident Maintenance Engineer position at Swisslog in Grantham involves working rotating 12-hour shifts, both days and nights
The salary is dependent on experience and includes excellent company benefits such as private health care and a contributory pension scheme
Key duties include performing breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on various automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors, vertical lifts, and a deep freeze high bay, while working in a cold environment (-18 degrees)
Responsibilities also entail undertaking scheduled repairs, prioritizing system faults, ensuring quality output, accurately recording work, and participating in continuous improvement projects, all while complying with Health & Safety legislation
Candidates should be apprentice-trained Electrical or Mechanical Engineers or possess equivalent qualifications
Experience with automated machinery is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided
The role requires the ability to work at heights and effective communication skills, as it is customer-facing
Familiarity with a CMMS system is also desirable.
