About the Role

As a Resource Deployment Assistant Manager, you will manage your own portfolio and stakeholder group, reporting to a Resource Manager and ultimately the Director of Resourcing. You will play a key role in overseeing resources for a national business area of 200–300 FTE, including onshore and offshore staff.


The role involves close collaboration with Business Unit Leaders, senior stakeholders, and staff at all levels from trainees to Managers, Senior Managers, and Directors/Partners, making strong stakeholder management skills essential.


This dynamic position requires adaptability, process development, and independent decision-making, ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage resource requests and annual planning using Retain, ensuring accurate data and resolving clashes. Are you skilled at prioritising and organising multiple requests while maintaining data accuracy?
  • Support client onboarding, due diligence, and maintain training pathways in Retain. Do you have experience managing client processes and keeping systems updated to support planning?
  • Resolve resourcing issues, cleanse Retain data and monitor utilisation. Can you proactively identify and address issues while ensuring data remains relevant and accurate?
  • Provide regular resourcing reports to support business performance. Are you confident in analysing data and sharing insights to improve efficiency and performance?
  • Coordinate onboarding of new joiners with People Managers and Buddies. Can you ensure smooth onboarding processes and effective allocation of support for new team members?


What are we looking for?

  • Workforce planning / resource deployment experience essential, ideally within a professional services / consulting environment.
  • Problem solver who is resilient and robust.
  • Strong business partnering and communication skills.
  • Data analysis and ability to extrapolate key messages for senior stakeholders
