The Azets Restructuring team
The Azets Restructuring team works with companies in stressed and challenging positions. We support management teams and stakeholders at times of change and uncertainty, and often at an exciting pace.
Our clients can be companies, boards of directors, government bodies or financial stakeholders like lenders or shareholders. We work closely with our clients to deliver the financial and organisational solutions that enable them to adapt and succeed or minimise the downside risks that they are facing.
The work primarily involves problem solving and facilitating consensus to manage the priorities of competing stakeholders. Our Restructuring team are experiencing an increase in demand for our services, so there is real opportunity to develop and grow your career.

The opportunity
As a Manager at Azets, you will:
- Own and manage a restructuring client portfolio with a high level of client responsibility. You'll be responsible for defining engagement scope, in consultation with the Partner/Director, and executing it in compliance with our internal policies and protocols
- You will oversee your team’s portfolios and contribute to the management of workflow planning both across your team and nationally
- You will take responsibility for leading engagements, reporting to the engagement Partner/ Director, project managing the rest of the team, coordinating deliverables from teams tasked to deal with discreet aspects of assignments, communicating issues to the Partner/Director and driving the project to completion with supervision from the Partner/Director
- You will have a desire to be active in establishing and nurturing relationships – inside Azets with different specialist teams across the firm, and externally – and have an ambition to have positive visibility in the market
- You will also fit in to our positive learning culture from day one. You will bring your existing skills/knowledge and coach team members in these where relevant and applicable to our work
Day to day duties
- Experience in undertaking written output clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
- Financial analysis and scenario modelling capability to support decision making and awareness of the key drivers of corporate failure or underperformance
- Commercial acumen – using knowledge and insight gained from client work and apply your understanding of the wider business environment
- Be able to identify key issues on assignments and suggest workable solutions
- Carry out all aspects of corporate insolvency case administration
- Good project management skills, with the ability to manage more than one assignment at a time and still demonstrate quality and consistency of performance in every task
- An ability to share technical and other knowledge with the team drawing on previous experience and current learning
- Demonstrate professionalism and confidence to deal with a range of stakeholder groups and management teams
- Adapt well to change and have a flexible approach
- Maintain case portfolio/financials to ensure the team’s required billing maximum contribution to the targets, cash collection targets, recovery rates and lock up targets

You will be an enthusiastic and collaborative team player who is happy to work flexibly throughout a period of growth within Restructuring. Specifically, you will have:
- A track record within a recognised restructuring team for a minimum of three years
- Experience in managing an insolvency case portfolio
- Experience of being involved in the delivery of business reviews, diligence projects and/or formal insolvencies
- A professional accountancy qualification
- An ability to manage work load and to work to multiple deadlines when reporting on assignment progress
