Job Description

Wood are recruiting a Rig, Waste & Logistics Coordinator for the Seafox 4 on a 2*2 rotation for an initial 8 month contract. This role starts in February running until October initially.

Responsibilities

Rig logistics and Waste Coordinator

Onegas West/ Onegas East offshore barge

  • Organisation

The RLWC is under the organisational authority of the contractor and the functional authority of the logistics - Part of (NAM & OneGas-West) Supply Chain. The RLWC is under the operational authority of the Drilling Supervisor/Barge HCO

  • General purpose of the function

The RLWC coordinates all Logistics and Waste activities at offshore Location. His task is to minimise and coordinate all people, materials, and equipment movements to and from the offshore rig in such a way it best matches the rig operational requirements. This means that the RLWC optimizes and challenges the material streams. By being the subject matter expert on the rig he enables the execution of these tasks with special care for HSE, Rental equipment and Waste.

  • Roles, Responsibilities, Tasks and Controls

Roles

  • Logistics and waste contact person/ focal point for senders and receivers for material flows including transport, handling and (people transportation on Rigs only).
  • Intermediate between Drilling Supervisor/Barge HCO and rig floor (Deck foreman, Crane operator and Deckhand) regarding the cargo handling.
  • Administrator of all logistic and waste activities
  • HSE focal point off all logistic activities

Responsibilities

  • Creating value by optimizing logistics support.
  • Ensuring that the logistics solution is based on requirements with a drive to optimize the use logistic resources.
  • Controlling the materials and equipment flows to and from offshore.
  • HSE on logistic movements and material handling on site
  • Actively participate in morning calls and provide overview of daily activities and lookahead.

Tasks

  • Monitor planning activities ()
  • Adjust own activities in line with changing requirements.
  • Making relevant transport documents for cargo, waste and carry out and administrate.
  • Liaison with supply vessel planning and material coordinators to optimize the use of transport resources.
  • Controlling the incoming materials and equipment
  • Track and record the use of (high value) rentals.
  • Making sure cargo is safe secured and ready for back load.
  • Reporting non compliances, unsafe situations, and unsafe acts.

Controls

  • Incoming and outgoing shipment documents (dangerous good, freight manifests, etc.)

  • Dangerous good labeling and classifying
  • Sea fastening of back load materials in the containers, baskets, racks, and others

Organizational interface

  • Day to day RLWC communication line to HCO /DSV, logistics teleconference.
  • Handover between shifts including call on the day before the duty starts.
  • Onshore Logistics Bases (Great Yarmouth/ Den Helder)
  • Waste providers
  • Shipping Team
  • Warehouse Team.

  • Working hours

Working hours: Offshore the tasks are, unless operational demands or other (temporary and consensual) agreements exist, usually carried out on a 14-day on 14 days off roster. Twelve hours in a day shift.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge and Experiences
  • Knowledge of logistics and its business drivers
  • Knowledge of law and regulations on IMDG and IATA
  • Knowledge and application of safety rules for offshore
  • SAP working knowledge.
  • Communication skills to work on all levels offshore and with the common channels in the shore organization.
  • Must be a team player, with influencing skills and a proactive, challenging.
  • Capability to challenge demand.
  • Training

Logistics related.

  • IMDG
  • Introduction Mercury and Radiation training
  • Safe working with Lifting and hoisting equipment

Safety and others

  • Safety videos
  • Helicopter underwater escape training including air pocket +
  • Basic offshore safety introduction and emergency response
  • VCA certificate at supervisory level
  • H2S certificate
