Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
What will you be responsible for?
As an Rights of Way Officer, you'll be working within the Delivery Team ensuring that public rights of way / access to the countryside is maintained
Your Day To Day Will Include
- Communicating with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, including landowners, elected members and partner organisations, achieving public enquiry KPI response time targets and improving further where possible
- Inspecting and assessing the general condition of the rights of way network, inspecting 20% of the network annually in accordance with the rights of way improvement plan
- Categorising, logging and entering defects onto the asset management system. ensuring defects are categorised and repaired in accordance with the highways inspection manual, recommending sites for comprehensive maintenance to be included in the capital programme
- Checking maintenance i.e. grass cutting is following various service plans
What are we looking for?
This role of Rights of Way Officer is great for you if:
- Demonstrate qualifications in a relevant subject or field including knowledge of Rights of Way legislation and “Rights of Way: A Guide to Law & Practice” (Blue Book)
- You drive and hold a full driving licence with Lantra qualifications
- Have experience working on the Rights of Way network, demonstrate an ability to resolve conflict confidently and effectively
