An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for Pharmacy Technicians to join the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust as rotational pharmacy technicians working across placements in IUC/111, 999 and the medicines packing unit. We are an inclusive and well respected team. We will support you to develop and grow your pharmacy skills both practically and strategically. We are looking for GPhC registered pharmacy technicians who are dynamic and willing to learn in a new and developing environment
The Main Duties Of The Role Include - To line manage and supervise the Assistant Technical Officers
- To support the production, training and implementation of SOPs.
- To undertake specialist rotational placements in the Medicines Packing Unit, Medicines Governance and Integrated Urgent Care/111 (IUC/111).
- To maintain a high standard of clinical work and pharmaceutically check and release packed drugs packs.
- To order, receipt, dispense and check controlled drugs.
- To work closely with the IUC lead pharmacist, Trust Medication Safety Officer, chief pharmacy technician and production manager.
- Travel is required to other LAS Trust sites as necessary for meetings and audit work.
- To train and assess medicines support staff
