Sales Assistant - M&S - Derriford Hospital
Contract Type: Permanent
Working hours: You'll be asked your preference in the 1st round of interviews, but we have two roles available:
Job A) 21.5 Hours a week (3 x 7.5hr Shifts) - Shifts are scheduled 4 weeks in advance and are either 0600-1300 or 1400-2100.
Job B) 8 hours a week, working Saturdays - Shifts are scheduled 4 weeks in advance and are either 0600-1430 or 1200-2030

As a Sales Assistant you’ll provide exceptional customer service and work independently or as part of a team to deliver our fantastic store standards. We want you, our customers and our colleagues to be proud to share their journey with us.
Based in our busy M&S Store at Derriford Hospital - the role is physically demanding, with an offsite store room, you'll need to be able to transport cages of stock, pushing them approx 200m between an external store room and our shop when either working delivery or finding stock or to refill the store.

What Being a Sales Assistant Is All About
- Delivering exceptional customer service experience on the shop floor and at service points putting the customer before task every time.
- Delivering ‘best in town’ standards through presentation, availability and keeping the store clean and tidy.
- Having great product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services to customers.
- Proactively engaging with customers to understand their needs and make recommendations.
- Working as part of a winning Team: pulling together, you can adapt to what can be a changing fast-paced environment.
Full training is provided for this role, but it would be great if you had the below skills:
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Great organisation skills plus strong attention to detail.
- A passion for providing great customer service.
- Ability to work as part of a team, supporting your colleagues and helping to deliver the daily activities.
