Job Description
This is a great opportunity to join Eurofins fast paced Chemistry Food Testing Laboratory in Needham Market. The purpose of this role is to complete the registration of samples and co-ordinate these through the relevant business unit.
Full training for this role is provided, no laboratory experience required
Please note this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30.
- Use Elims (laboratory computer system) to scan in samples.
- Understand the differences between the three business units and co-ordinate registrations of the testing into the correct business unit.
- Ensure that all relevant information concerning samples is recorded, that samples are handled correctly, and that all necessary records and quality data are maintained.
- Provide a high level of internal and external customer care. Liaise with customers about sample intake when required.
- Meet and greet customers, couriers or drivers when they are delivering or collecting samples.
- Maintain turnaround time at 100%, ensuring that daily targets are achieved, by registering samples in a timely fashion.
- Responsible for ensuring that UK health and safety legislation is maintained and helping to ensure that the working environment is kept in a clean and tidy.
- Ensure personal protective clothing equipment is worn in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
- Work with the team to drive the laboratory forward through continuous improvement.
- To assist through operating best practice in order to meet the requirements of the UKAS accreditation standard.
- To partake in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company Standard.
- Comply with all relevant Health, Safety and Security Regulations.
- Read and comply with Company rules, procedures, agreements and any notices displayed by the Company throughout your location.
Qualifications
- Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology at GCSE.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good laboratory skills and practices
- Enthusiasm, energy and a driven outlook
- Would be of advantage to have at least one year’s laboratory and production experience.
