The Kelly Group is a principal contractor supporting and providing engineering resource for over 35 years. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Satellite Engineer on our Hughes contract.
In Your Role You Will Be Responsible For
- Install, align, and configure satellite dishes for optimal signal reception in residential, commercial, and remote locations.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with satellite dish systems, receivers, and related equipment.
- Perform maintenance and upgrades on existing satellite systems to ensure continued high performance.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to clients on the best solutions to meet their satellite communication needs.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and customer interactions.
- Adhere to safety standards and best practices during all on-site operations.
- Stay updated on the latest satellite dish technologies and industry trends.
You will have the following qualifications and be able to prove experience and competence:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on your licence.
- Proven experience as a Satellite Dish Engineer or in a similar role, with a track record of successful installations and repairs.
- Proficiency in aligning satellite dishes and configuring receivers for optimal performance.
- Familiarity with various satellite systems, including Free-to-Air, Freesat, and subscription-based services (e.g., Sky, DirecTV).
- Risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on Health and Safety practices.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Be motivated and be able to work independently.
- Be comfortable and willing to work at heights when required.
- Be comfortable and willing to work underground when required
