Responsibilities:

• Developing and executing the security architecture strategy and roadmap, aligned with organizational objectives, to ensure the protection of critical infrastructure.
• Providing guidance on expected security outcomes, balancing customer needs with technical considerations, and setting key security performance indicators (KPIs).
• Evaluating and guiding the technical development of security-related projects, identifying dependencies and integration points with existing systems.
• Contributing to the overall business architecture roadmap, ensuring security initiatives are aligned with broader business goals.
• Overseeing and advancing the company’s security capabilities to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Driving technical excellence by addressing security-related technical debt and maintaining a continuous improvement backlog.
• Ensuring security solutions meet performance, reliability, and compliance standards through the implementation of security by design principles.
• Leading the development of innovative, reusable security architectures that address complex cybersecurity challenges and capturing best practices.
• Advising on the composition and staffing requirements for effective threat detection and incident response.
• Acting as a subject matter expert in cybersecurity, providing advice on complex security architecture issues to teams and senior management.
• Advocating for security solutions that enhance customer trust and protect sensitive data.
• Contributing to funding initiatives for advancing security architecture priorities.

Key Skills:

• Knowledgeable in security frameworks (such as NIST, ISO 27001) and industry-specific standards, with a strong focus on network security, firewalls, and secure communication protocols.
• Skilled in conducting risk assessments and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) to safeguard sensitive data.
• Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex security concepts to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to design and implement security architectures that align with business goals, including creating and maintaining strategic security roadmaps.
• Experienced in Agile, Scrum methodologies to ensure quick adaptation to evolving security challenges and business requirements.
• Demonstrates innovative thinking to solve complex security challenges with a focus on delivering results.
• Committed to staying up-to-date with emerging security threats and technologies and adaptable in adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly valued.
