Primary Responsibility
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join us on a temporary basis to cover staff absence. This is a chance to contribute to a leading immunotherapy company at a very exciting time, as we move towards commercialization of our first product in late 2022.
Role Information
This role is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of complex clinical accruals. This includes accurate recognition of costs relating to the clinical trials themselves and the Clinical Research Organisations (CROs), in a timely manner to support the month end close.
In addition, this role will be a key contributor to enable a functional curreny update for one of our legal entities as well as supporting a remeasurement exercise as required
You will be part of a technically strong Finance team with a strong teamwork ethos, who are keen to play their part in supporting Adaptimmune’s bold mission.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience
Required: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Experience in biotech industry
Desired: Experience of accounting for clinical trials in a biotech company

Experience of using NetSuite accounting system

Comfortable to make estimates/judgements in the absence of information/guidance

Organised and comfortable managing several work streams simultaneously
Able to communicate effectively both written and verbal

Please note that this role is based in our Abingdon office 3 days per week post training
