Description
Within Data and Analytics our vision is to be the leading data services provider for health and social care across England through creating innovative and high-quality data products and services that give our customers the knowledge and capabilities required to deliver the best outcomes for citizens.

Medicines Value and Access (MVA) Directorate seeks to develop evidence based / data driven policies that support best outcomes for patient access, while securing value for money from medicines. Data and Analytics within MVA provides insight and evidence to inform these policies and commercial activities.

The Senior Analyst (8a) role is an exciting opportunity to deliver project-based analysis across different areas of medicines policy and strategy.

The role offers the individual the opportunity to apply their skills in developing policy by applying economic principles and analytical methods, often using (and linking) large patient-level datasets. The range of projects will require the postholder to evidence ‘the problem’, identify and evaluate potential solutions as well as monitor impacts.

As the postholder leads projects, they will be communicating insights to a variety of audiences at different levels within NHSE and across the NHS. Collaboration will be important, as the postholder will work closely with analysts from a variety of disciplines as well as policy, clinical and commercial colleagues in MVA/NHS England and partner organisations such as NHS Business Services Authority and Department of Health and Social Care.
