The Public Health, Population Health, And Evaluation Team Sits Within The Clinical Improvement Analytics Domain Of Data & Analytics. The Team Supports The Prevention Agenda By

  • Enabling systems to improve population health and reduce health inequalities.
  • Maximising vaccination and screening uptake to reduce mortality and morbidity.
  • Leading on evaluation and monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and value for money.

Key Activities Include

  • Developing analytical strategies for population health, health inequalities, and evaluation.
  • Collecting, processing, and reporting performance metrics for 11 screening programmes, e.g., % uptake of screening invitations. This includes publishing metrics, developing dashboards, and preparing for a transition of data collection and publication to other teams. Developing a dashboard to identify improvement areas (underperforming geographic or demographic groups)
  • Analytical modelling future demand for screening/vaccinations and related workforce needs
  • Providing data to support the Screening Quality Assurance programme by improving data systems, analysis, and reporting
  • Providing evaluation and monitoring support for initiatives across NHSE.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.
