Kennedys is looking for a Senior Associate to support one of the catastrophic injury defendant personal injury teams in our Manchester office. We are looking for an individual with defendant employers liability/public liability and motor claims experience to run high value catastrophic injury cases.
Team
Kennedys' Serious and Catastrophic Injury team is a Legal 500 Tier 1 ranked team handling large loss and catastrophic injury claims for a range of clients arising out of motor, EL and PL accidents. The team handles cases of the utmost severity including brain injury, spinal injury, amputations, polytrauma, brachial plexus injury, severe psychiatric injury, chronic pain and loss of senses across insurers, self-insureds organisations and third party administrators.
We act on complex and high-profile cases, led by experienced Partners recognized as market leaders in this sector. We are often instructed on UK cases requiring cross-border quantum investigations via our international offices.
We avoid unnecessary lawyering and are focused on working in partnership with our clients and delivering modern solutions, including our in-house R&D capability and award-winning product suite of technological and process innovations.

Required Experience
- 5+ years' UK Qualified Solicitor or CILEX qualified with the relevant experience*
- Litigation experience of catastrophic injury defence work
- Previous client contact and attendance at business development events
- Supervision and deputy team management experience
- Experience of negotiation
