As an Azure Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and developing the Ofgem Azure platform. Working as part of a team of infrastructure specialists, you’ll build, administer, support, and maintain solutions, including new services and the migration of existing services to the Cloud. You’ll ensure services are integrated, delivered, and operated effectively, working proactively to resolve technical problems as they arise. This is high profile work that will contribute to a smarter and more secure energy environment.
You’ll have experience as an Azure engineer using core Azure Services, and of Microsoft Azure Operational and Monitoring tools management. You’ll also have demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies in Cloud and hybrid environments. On a personal level, you’ll be an effective decision maker capable of delivering at pace. You’ll be committed to changing and improving the service to best suit Ofgem’s needs, and the needs of our customers. Most importantly, you’ll be a person passionate about ensuring that everyone in the UK has access to reliable, affordable, sustainable energy.

As a Senior Azure Engineer you will have a strong background in cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, security, and best practices.
Senior Azure Engineers work closely with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
