Position Overview

Key Outcomes
Rum in Global Travel Retail includes iconic brands like Captain Morgan Spiced Gold. With recent trends towards premiumization, we've seen rapid growth in premium segments. Diageo acquired Don Papa Rum in 2023 which is now distributed across over 40 airports in Europe. Our Ultra-Premium rum brand Ron Zacapa consistently ranks among the top five brands*, indicating strong traveler interest.
The Senior Brand Manager Will Lead Our Rum Portfolio Strategy And Brand Plans Across Global Travel Channels (Duty-Free Retail, Airlines, Cruises)
- Zacapa Transformation: Elevate Zacapa’s luxury credentials by scaling activations in key markets, launching exclusive innovations for GT, renovating existing portfolios while expanding outside Europe and Americas.
- Don Papa Momentum: Continue building momentum for Don Papa by enhancing its appealing brand world and expanding distribution.
- Captain Morgan Strategy: Develop long-term strategies for Captain Morgan to tap into dynamic standard and premium spirits segments within Global Travel.
Key Deliverables
- Lead each brand through MBP alongside GBTs to deliver exceptional plans that outpace competition.
- Adapt global strategies for maximum impact in Global Travel; create additional tools where necessary.
- Collaborate with customer marketing, commercial teams, finance, supply chain & legal teams ensuring timely implementation with impactful execution.
- Engage with Global Brand Teams & Regional Innovation teams to cultivate vibrant innovation pipelines aligning with annual planning.
- Deliver breakthrough marketing across all key consumer touchpoints (retail, digital).

Experience Required
The ideal candidate should have extensive marketing experience demonstrating impactful delivery across shopper marketing/consumer marketing/innovation/reserve roles.
Commercial astuteness bringing a “GM attitude” is essential along with evidence of using insights creatively strategizing effectively balancing multiple projects comfortably thriving amidst ambiguity fostering strong relationships internally/externally both remotely/in-person.
