Job Title: Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist
Location: Inchinnan & Kinning Park, Glasgow - Distribution Centre Operations

A Distribution Centre Leadership Team member, a skilled, qualified, and experienced lean process advocate, with a history of tangible continuous improvement implementation, people and cultural development.
You will assess current operational processes related to Safety, Cost, Quality, Delivery and People and lead projects to incorporate industry leading practices from inception into controlled and sustained procedures. You will deliver tangible improvements that drive efficient processes, improved customer service and cost savings.
In this role you will have the autonomy to develop the strategy that will make the operation stand out against others and the opportunity to benchmark those processes for improvement throughout the D&L network.
A day in the Life:
- Accountable for collecting, monitoring and reporting DC budgetary productivity
- Leads, maintains, facilitates and embeds an Operational Excellence culture through hands on approach to training and engagement
- Drives Continuous Improvement projects to completion
- Identifies and commitments to completion PPI Opportunities and the delivery of a PPI Funnel
- Develops and maintains Metrics to demonstrate process development and productivity gains from capital and resource investments
- Provides MI reporting
- Partners with the Finance function to evaluate and confirm saving potentials
- Validates productivity savings against the site P&L to ensure accurate accounting
- Partners with our Network and beyond on cross-functional/divisional or group activities
- Provides specialist knowledge on Continuous Improvement
Keys to Success:
Education
- Qualified to degree level
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience
- Extensive experience of using lean tools and methodologies to deliver tangible results
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Good IT and Systems Capability - outstanding Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- Excellent English written and oral presentation skills
- Can facilitate, influence, engage, collaborate at all levels
- Results orientated multitasker, constructively navigating through complexity and challenges
- Financial mastery
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Warehousing environment, including cold rooms (-20). External yard areas.
- Travel across two local sites.
- 0-10% travel within EMEA region
