Position: Senior Creative Designer – Xpel

Division/Dept: Design Department

Report To: Studio Manager

Location: Widnes - Hybrid

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Creative Designer with exceptional concept design & artwork skills and a love for health & beauty and household brands, trends and packaging.

This is a new role, with a strong connection to the existing and well-established in-house Solent creative team. You will be working exclusively on the Xpel portfolio of products, with close working relationships with the product development, design, marketing, technical and commercial teams.

As such, the role will require frequent travel between the Xpel Widnes and Solent Christchurch offices (up to 4 days monthly) to build and maintain effective working relationships across the teams.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Be able to research and present current and upcoming consumer and packaging trends for your categories
• Use market and consumer data, and trend knowledge to create quality and well-considered creative product concepts in response to a design brief from the product development team
• Work closely with the Product, Commercial and Technical teams to produce product & packaging concepts and artwork at pace, with a rapid turnaround of 24-72 hours on most briefs
• Demonstrate good leadership and ability to coach junior members of the team
• Be able to convert product concepts to accurate print-ready artwork
  
  

About You

• A minimum of 5 years as a designer working within product & packaging design. Recent experience as a Senior Designer in the FMCG industry is preferred
• Recent experience working in a fast paced environment and to tight deadlines
• Absolutely passionate about design and packaging
• A keen interest in the Health & Beauty and Household industries and current and upcoming trends
• Ability to take ownership of projects from idea conception to artwork delivery
