Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving our data infrastructure and migration projects, leveraging their expertise in Python, data engineering, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes
• Lead the migration of legacy systems and data to cloud platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions that meet business requirements
• Optimize data storage and retrieval systems for improved performance and scalability
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards

• This position requires client presence between 25%-50% of the time per month at the client's office, which is located in London.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10 + years of experience
• Strong proficiency in Python programming
• Experience in data engineering
• Knowledge of Linux systems and Bash scripting
• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and architecture
• Familiarity with SFTP protocols and secure file transfer methods
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizational structures
• Strong leadership skills with a proactive and assertive approach to project management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in migrating legacy systems and data to cloud platforms
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance practices
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team
• Adaptable to changing priorities and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
