The Role

As a Group, we are half-way through an exciting transformation journey to build a stronger, more sustainable business for the future and we are excited to be recruiting for a Digital Marketing Executive to join the team.


As the Senior Digital Marketing Executive, you will help us to craft our digital footprint, supporting on the continuous development of our internal and external online presence and marketing activities, with a specific focus on the development of the Group websites.


James Fisher has a powerful, lasting legacy to communicate to our customers, and we recognise that our website is at the core of our efforts. You will be responsible for reviewing, monitoring, analysing and reporting on our Group’s website performance, bringing innovative ideas to the team to help us better serve our customers and improve website performance.


You will also work closely with the marketing teams across the group to devise and implement strategies that optimise digital performance, generate new leads, and strengthen brand positioning.


The role will be based in our office in Knutsford and we offer hybrid working.


Role Accountabilities

  • Design and execute data-driven marketing campaigns, ensuring they are segment-focused and accountable for delivering measurable results.
  • Utilise campaign insights to enhance understanding of performance and drive continuous improvements in ROI.
  • Develop and implement B2B digital marketing campaigns focused on customer acquisition and retention, leveraging tools like Microsoft Dynamics for automated marketing.
  • Deliver regular reports on campaign performance, working with the digital marketing team to evaluate web analytics and KPIs.
  • Analyse previous campaign performance to inform future strategies and optimise existing efforts.
  • Support the administration and content management of James Fisher & Sons and group company websites.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of websites and digital marketing activities, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.
  • Create compelling content for multiple corporate websites, aligned with brand tone of voice and optimised for SEO.
  • Manage the e-marketing platform, including email templates, distribution lists, and campaign reporting.
  • Promote best practices for website and email communications across the organisation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, strategies, and standards to keep digital marketing efforts innovative and effective.
  • Liaise with group companies, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.


Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in digital marketing, business studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in B2B marketing and campaign development.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in using digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Data Studio, and Search Console.
  • Experience in managing and optimising content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong creative, organisational, and numerical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to improving digital marketing activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Flexibility to travel to other national offices and sites as needed.
